Well, guess what? We had picanha left over but NO hamburgers. A HUGE hit. Now I throw a 4th of July BBQ every year and this year there was a line at the grill waiting for the burgers!! We ran out! In my experience Brazilians are hesitant to try new things, but if you can get them to try it, they usually love it.Corinnenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008463968111291625.post-20761236059207619552010-07-06T12:56:40.687+02:002010-07-06T12:56:40.687+02:00heh, that's funny Siri because i have a friend...heh, that's funny Siri because i have a friend from Mexico who i met in Paris 3 years ago (he was at a culinary school) and after paris he went to Norway for about a year and worked in a hotel kitchen, he was offered a job in Mexican food for some new restaurant (something like that) but they didn't approve his visa! so now he's back in Mexico heading up a resto kitchen there. he complained a lot about the Norwegian "Mexican" food too ;)Mallory Elisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03901050934484369605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008463968111291625.post-12381655932707020862010-07-05T18:43:15.578+02:002010-07-05T18:43:15.578+02:00I find all this terribly interesting. The problem living in Norway is that Norwegians think they are branching out into other world cuisines, but all they know of Mexico, India, and Thailand comes in a packet of freeze-dried food. Ick. They swear they LOVE tacos, but that just means ground beef friend in Old El Paso spice mix and topped with Norwegian cheese, terrible salsa, and black olives.

Your dinner looked delicious.
