About Me

Hello dear guest, you are curious about me? I am an American photographer/baker/caterer living in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have a start-up dinner party and catering business. I also make a lot of cakes. I'm a photographer and have worked with everything from food and sports magazines to weddings and even mattress company advertisements--but my real love is with food photography. I started making and photographing food in 2006 on the floor of my college dorm room. I taught myself and continue to teach myself the art of photography daily.

Originally from Seattle, I have lived on three different continents and speak three different languages. Looking to add a "four" to those lists some day soon. In the meantime, I have been living in Brazil since the start of 2010 with my Brazilian husband and our little brown dog, Sybil.

For information on either my photography or food businesses, please visit and contact me through my professional site Mallory Ferland Photography & Gastronomy.

Every life is many days; day after day we walk through ourselves, meeting robbers, ghosts, giants, old men, young men, wives, widows, brothers in love--but always meeting ourselves. -James Joyce
